Most jobs fall into three groups:
Moving a single machine: A machine is moved within the hall, into storage or to a buyer. One day is usually enough.
Business relocation: Machinery, workbenches, stock and offices move to a new site together. We plan the sequence so that the most important machines are up and running first. More under company relocation.

Whether a machine needs to be dismantled depends on its weight, its dimensions and the route: door widths, ceiling heights, floor load capacity and room to manoeuvre. We clarify this during a site visit or on the basis of your photos and machine documentation.
Who disconnects electricity, compressed air, hydraulics and cooling is agreed with you in advance. This is often done by the manufacturer. On request, we provide a qualified electrician through our partner Kurt Jensen Elektroanlagen GmbH.
We can drain and dispose of operating fluids such as hydraulic oil or coolant. In larger companies, this is often handled by their own service provider.
Large machines that, according to the manufacturer, may only be dismantled by the manufacturer itself are dismantled by them. We then take care of loading, transport and installation.

Crane Loading & Heavy-Lift Technology
The equipment we use depends on weight, shape and location. Inside the hall we move machinery with heavy-duty skates, hydraulic jacks (including remote-controlled units) and pallet trucks. Machines are loaded onto the lorry by forklift of up to 9 t or with the loader crane on our self-loading lorry. Through windows, over parts of a building or into upper floors we lift with the loader crane, adding further crane equipment if needed. In narrow corridors, doorways and lifts we use heavy-duty skates, high-lift stackers and, where necessary, partial dismantling.
Our self-loading lorry lifts up to 8,000 kg in short-boom mode and 5,500 kg in standard operation. At 10 m outreach it still lifts around 3,000 kg. If that is not enough, we bring in additional crane equipment or coordinate the job with your crane contractor. More under crane service.

Transport Safety & Packaging
On the lorry, the machine stands on timber bearers or anti-slip mats and is secured with lashing straps. The number of straps depends on the weight of the machine.
Control panels, displays and control cabinets are covered with film and edge protection. Loose parts such as tools, clamping fixtures or guards are removed and packed separately.
For sensitive machinery, long distances or sea freight we build wooden crates and timber frames. For large crates or orders with many crates we work with a partner.

Permits for Oversized and Special Dimensions
A permit is required if the loaded vehicle exceeds the legal limits: more than 2.55 m wide, 4 m high or 40 t gross weight. Most individual machines stay below these limits and can be transported without a permit.
If the load is wider, higher or heavier, we apply for the permit from the relevant authority and plan a route suited to the width, height and weight (bridges, underpasses, roundabouts). Depending on the dimensions, the permit may require escort vehicles or specific travel times, for example at night. We provide escort vehicles ourselves or commission them.
Processing takes 2 to 4 weeks, depending on the authority and the route. Please let us know about oversized transports early. More under heavy transport.

Downtime mainly occurs between disconnection at the old site and commissioning at the new one. That is why we coordinate dismantling, transport and installation with your electrical team and the manufacturer’s service. For larger projects you receive a written schedule.

The Process of Transporting a Machine
- Enquiry: You send us the machine type, weight, dimensions, both addresses and photos. Your part: photos of the machine and of the route outside.
- Site visit: We inspect the machine, the route and the destination free of charge; for simple jobs, photos are enough. Your part: a contact person on site and the operating manual.
- Quote and planning: Depending on the scope, you receive a written quote with services, date and price within 1 to 7 working days, usually at a fixed price. For oversized loads we apply for the permit. Your part: the installation plan for the new site and appointments with the manufacturer’s service.
- Dismantling and loading: The machine is disconnected, secured, dismantled if necessary, loaded and lashed. Your part: the machine is switched off and empty.
- Transport and installation: Transport to the destination, unloading, positioning, levelling and, on request, connection. Your part: the connections are ready and commissioning is scheduled.

None, as long as the loaded vehicle stays below 2.55 m in width, 4 m in height and 40 t gross weight. This applies to most individual machines. Above these limits we apply for the permit, which takes 2 to 4 weeks.
3. How long does it take to transport a machine?
That depends on the preparation. A single machine without dismantling is usually moved in one day, and with little preparation sometimes several. With dismantling, transport and installation it takes longer. We plan larger installations or entire businesses with you in stages.
4. Are my machines insured during transport?
We are liable for damage to the goods in transit in accordance with the statutory rules. This liability is limited by weight and often does not cover the full value of valuable machinery. For such machines we recommend additional insurance for the full machine value, which we are happy to offer you.
5. What is the difference between machinery transport, machine relocation, and machine moving?
In practice the terms mean the same thing: a machine is moved from one place to another. With us, all three come with the same service of dismantling, transport and installation.
6. Do you also handle machine installation after transport?
Yes. We position the machine according to your plan, level it, anchor it to the floor if required and refit dismantled parts. We can also take care of the connection on request; special connections and commissioning are handled by the manufacturer or an external fitter.
